It's not until the morning however, that the side effects will kick in. In most cases, the person will have a congested nose, tiredness or grogginess (this is a common side effect with any pill that helps a person sleep) and a degree of unsteadiness or jittery feelings.
For most people suffering from insomnia, taking a prescription is usually not necessary. But it often can be the solution, especially for those suffering from chronic insomnia where the patient is not sleeping over a long period of time. In any case, taking prescription drugs such as Trazodone for insomnia should only be used for short-term relief and should not be used for any length of time. If prescription medication is required, it's best to ask your doctor for a prescription that is used to only deal with insomnia and has no other purpose such as to treat major depression.
